I CONTACTED MONSTER TRANSMISSIONS AND INFORMED THEM I WAS TAKING IT TO A TRANSMISSION SHOP. THEY AGREED TO PAY THE $250.00 DIAGNOSTICS.

THE TRANSMISSION SHOP DISASSEMBLIED AND FOUND THAT THE DIRECT CLUTCH PACK BUSHINGS WERE WORN SLAM OUT AND THE LINING WAS BURNT UP. ALSO THE SS4 AOD I PURCHASED WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE UP-DATED DRUMS TO HOLD MORE CLUTCH DISCS. IT HAD A STOCK DRUM WITH FIVE CLUTCHES. IT WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE A SUPER PUMP.

IT IS STOCK. THE METAL RINGS FOR THE PUMP WERE WORN BADLY(THE WERE NOT REPLACED.I SPOKE WITH JOSH AND TOLD HIM I DID NOT GET THE GOODIES I PAID EXTRA FOR. HE SAID HE WOULD TRY TO GET THE PARTS COVERED. THE FOLLOWING DAY I CALLED JOSH AND HE INFORMED ME THAT THEIR LEADERSHIP BOARD HAD DECLINED TO HELP THAT I VOIDED THE WARRANTY BY LETTING A QUALIFIED SHOP REPAIR IT INSTEAD OF SHIPPING IT TO THEM FOR THE REPAIR THE LEVEL 2 VALVE BODY IS WHAT CAUSED THE FAILURE.

I FURNISHED THE REPAIR CENTER WITH MY STOCK VALVE BODY AND HAD MY TRUCK BACK IN 2 DAYS. JOSH TOLD ME THAT I COULD SEND HIM MY NEW MONSTER VALVE BODY FOR THEM TO INSPECT HE MIGHT GET SOME HELP ON IT. I COULDNT TRUST THEM TO BUILD IT AS THEY ADVERTISED, HOW COULD I TRUST THEM TO TELL THE TRUTH ON ANYTHING. STOCK TRANNY WITH A FAULTY VALVE BODY IS WHAT I RECIEVED FOR $1600.00.

BUYERS BEWARE. DONT FALL FOR THEIR SALES GIMMICS.

They checked back with me on my problems. If I ever need anything for my tranny, I will only call you all. Most people are like "This may be your problem but try this and have a great day!" You all know how to run a business no doubt. That's why you're still in business.

I had a valve body problem and Monster Transmission sent me a new valve body with no problem. I ordered 2 qts of oil and they included another 2 qts free of charge. You can't go wrong with buying a transmission from Monster Transmission.

Monster transmission has agreed to pay for the parts I requested. I signed their agreement .When I recieve my refund. The I will consider this matter resolved and post so on this web site.Johnny "O" :)

Ok, so as the client stated we paid the $250 he wasn't entitled to and still complained. So yet again we tried to help someone who didn't have a warranty and they chose to come on here.

If you put more clutches in a drum they have to be thinner which means you lose the surface material. So more clutches,thinner material and now you have failure. We didn't have to offer to help any further with the valvebody, but we did. If we weren't building what we say we are our business would be shut down.

We would all be under arrest and out of job. Well we aren't a bunch of telemarketers or backwoods mechanics ripping people off. If we have less than a 1% warranty rate, we are obviously building something correct. We also, on CAMERA, build and road test these units before shipping out.

If our warranty is a full replacement on the first go around, we would close our doors by sending out defective products. Check with the BBB we currently have a B rating. It didn't matter if the trans was a week or 100 weeks old, we treat all of our clients the same. We try to help everyone,everyone!

We don't want to fuss and fight with you but aren't going to stand by while you give a biased account. You had no warranty and voided the warranty but we still paid $250 and agreed to accept the valvebody to reimburse you more. You chose not to get reimbursed more and post on here instead. You can still send back the valvebody and we will inspect it on a camera,live and being recorded.

That way there is no question about what we are doing. Call or email us when you are ready !

IF THIS TRANSMISSION WOULD HAVE BEEN INSTALLED INTO A TEST VEHICLE, YOU WOULD HAVE CAUGHT THE PROBLEM.I RECIEVED THE TRANSMISSION ON A WEDNESDAY INTALLED IT ON SATURDAY.IT FAILED HAD IT REPAIRED AND INSTALLED BY A TRANSMISSION SHOP IT STILL WOULDNT SHIFT INSTALLED MY VALVE BODY AND HAD IN RUNNING BY THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY. MAIL IN WARRANTY OR NO MAIL IN WARRANTY I STILL HAD SEVEN WEEKS TO MAIL IN THE WARRANTY. I HAD WAITED FOUR WEEKS JUST FOR THE BUILD. MY TRUCK IS MY SOURCE OF INCOME.I DONT HATE THIS COMPANY,I FEEL THEY SHOULD BE MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE OR PROCEDURES THAN JUMPING INTO LOOP HOLES THEY WROTE.

I BOUGHT A TRANSMISSION ASSUMING I HAD THE BEST AND INSTEAD I GOT HAD.I JUST WANT WHAT I PAID FOR.ALL THIS FOR $179.00 IN PARTS. I COVERED THE LABOR CAUSE I HAD TO HAVE MY TRUCK. I SACRIFICED ALSO.

I PURCHASED THIS TRANSMISSION AND ASKED FOR NO GIFTS. JUST WHAT I PURCHASED.

Monster does not test their transmissions, they leave that to their unsuspecting customers. My transmission lasted 800 miles due to their incompetence.

Thanks Josh! Their "Handshake" warranty is useless, they will not honor it.

And yes, just like " Monster Staff" I will not use my real identity.

NO,YOU PROVED MY POINT. I HAD APPROVAL FROM YOUR WARRANTY MANAGER (AMY)TO GET IT DIAGNOISED AND YOUR WEB SITE CLAIMS YOU WILL PAY UP TO $250.00 FOR DIAGNOISTICS.

Monster Staff,

If you record your work on video then I would like to see the video of my transmission being rebuilt each of the three times your company tried to rebuild it. After the third time I took my transmission to a Real transmission shop to be rebuilt properly and I have not had a problem since.

:grin During this whole process your employees blamed me for the failures of which the cause turned out to be a failure of your employees to check manufacturer technical bulletins and the failure of your employees, three times to find a failed critical component which was the cause of all of the failures of my transmission. After having a local transmission shop that your company recommended I go to found the problem Your employee Josh told me that Monster would do nothing to resolve the problems, he claimed that the failures were my fault, even though the transmission shop advised your employees missed finding the broken part which was the actual cause. And I will not reveal my name as it is not necessary, you would not help me then and you wont help me now.

What is your excuse for hiding behind "Monster Staff" I also believe that it is Josh.

Well, I don't know anything about "Monster Transmissions", I was only online seeking advice about my AOD but based on this *** contest that's going on here, I wouldn't attempt to use them. I own my own business as well and would never get involved like this online.

As the above client stated we paid the $250 for step 1 of his warranty. What he didn't state is that per his warranty, we require prior approval before having a shop work on the unit.

We do this to keep the clients warranty active and not have them get sabotaged by a shop they didn't buy from in the first place. This client never sent in a signed warranty, which is required within 60 days of receiving the product, and had un-authorized work done. So he had no warranty and voided any warranty he would have been entitled to...and we still paid the $250 to help him out. No, I repeat NO company is going to honor a voided or non-existent warranty.

We paid it anyways because we always go above and beyond to help our clients. Not everyone is going to be happy, especially if they don't get what they want. We did offer to try and replace the parts that were used, however it was denied because he didn't sign the warranty, had the work done and it was finished. Had the work not been done, we could have sent the parts out.

Instead of asking the client to go away, we further offered to help by inspecting the valvebody, for free and we would see about offering further reimbursing the client. To the folks that are reading this, thank you for taking the time to hear both sides of the story. Unfortunately, the reporting on here is one sides and key facts are left out. We could just ignore these posts, knowing that we have less than a 1% return rate for warranty.

We sold over 1900 units last year, that is a great number. No we are always working to improve and get that number down to 0% !!! We have added webcams thru out our shop and could have inspected his valvebody live on camera.

I HAVE TO HAND IT TO THEM FOR HELPING WITH THE 250.00. THEY FAIL TO MENTION THIS TRANSMISSION WAS A WEEK OLD .

I STILL HAD A TIME FRAME FOR THE *** MAIL IN WARRANTY. IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TO PERFECT IF THEY WOULD PUT THE ADVERTISED PARTS IN A TRANSMISSION. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN MORE CONCERNED ABOUT THEIR MISTAKE IN THE BUILD RATHER THAN THE LOOP HOLES THEY JUMP THROUGH TO CONVINCE OTHER PROSPECTIVE BUYERS THAT THEY ARE THE VICTIM.THEY REFUSED TO SPEAK WITH THE TRANSMISSION SHOP ON WHAT HAPPENED. AND I HAD TO PURCHASE THE UPDATED DRUM THAT I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT IN THIS BUILD.JUST ANOTHER EXAMPLE.DONT FALL FOR THEIR SALES GIMMICKS!!

CHECK THE BBB FOR THEIR COUNTY. ALL I ASKED THEM TO DO WAS PAY FOR THE PARTS THEY LEFT OUT . IT WOULDNT HAVE BEEN THAT MUCH. IMAGINE THE EXPENSE TO ME TO PLAY MAIL IT TO US.

WELL DO IT RIGHT THIS TIME!!! I HAVE THE FAILED PARTS AND A REPETABLE TRANSMISSION SHOP BEHIND ME. MONSTER TRANSMISSIONS SHOULD TAKE THEIR MEDICINE AS I DID. THE SHOP THAT HELPED ME TOOK MERCY ON ME AND HELPED ME WITH A REASONABLE FINAL BILL.

NO MATTER HOW MANY TRANSMISSIONS THEY BRAG ABOUT BUILDING,YOU WONT FIND THAT MANY ATTA BOYS ABOUT THEM.HOW MANY HAVE BEEN ACTUALLY CHECKED FOR THE SO CALLED UP GRADED PARTS.

IVE GOT PAST THIS MONSTER.I JUST HOPE THEY CAN GET PAST THEIR GOD AS EASY. SLEEP WELL MONSTER :p
