I've never bought one of these turds, but have installed 2 of them for customers. both were supposed to handle 600 hp, neither engine made over 500 and combined the two made it about 75 miles. The overlords at Monster told both of my customers to pound sand, no warranty, the engines were making too much power. More difficult than throwing money in a pit, but just as effective. One transmission is a n AOD for a 390 Ford. The input shaft snapped in half within about 40 miles. The starter design is the stupidest thing I've ever seen with some weird adapter plate and the starter being held down by two 10-32 bolts. Starter would not physically fit in the hole, had to remove the whole mess and modify to make it fit, no adjustment and it sounds like crap.

I received excellent customer service when purchasing the transmission. Thanks for all your help Anthony . I’m excited to get the transmission and will hopefully be able to leave a glowing review for the product. I know the overwhelming majority of reviews are negative here but I as well as many others only really leave reviews when I’m pissed off about a product. I can only hope I will be as happy with the product as I am with Anthony’s customer service help.

Well I am thinking of using monster transmission parts for my own personal rebuilds. Hard parts.

I'm a little skeptical due to fact of cost and the poor reviews. The cost is much much cheaper it seems to be to good to be true.

I am on the fence. On flip side I've been battling zero with oem parts that don't have duribility they should.

Monster Transmissions..BEWARE!! BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY!

Junk transmissions and terrible warranty! Sent me 3 transmissions and all bad and cost me $500 each time to ship. Now the 4 th time they say no more warranty and my 1971 has only 2000 miles on it. I called around to shops in Colorado Springs and they all said just throw it away.

I am out a ton of money and will now just order one from Summit. And there is a reason Summit does not sell Monster, just ask them. Don’t want to see anyone have this fiasco happen to them. Stay away from Monster!

And their treatment of Veterans is aweful!! They will tell you they support Vets and will even say they will promote your car and they are liers!

Unqualified Human Resources Department

The 2 very young girls that work in the H.R Department- one of them is actually the Human Resources Manager- neither of them have any education in HR. You should be very very careful what you trust them with.

Any information you give them goes straight to the owners. and nothing is kept confidential. All of the things like pay, medical information and private things get shared with the Human Resource Managers live in boyfriend who happens to work for Monster as well. Makes for great pillow talk.

My point is they have no idea what to do with any of the information you give them, so be very careful. they have had no experience or training on what to do with your drug test, drivers license, SS card or I9. Please for your own sake go some where else to work. The also hire people based on who they are related to.

Family always comes first and is paid twice as much as anyone else.

that's why Wyatt makes more that 2000 per week. just sayin

A quick Google search will show that the day after this was posted Monster posted 2 job postings for their HR department. Considering Monster is in a perpetual state of damage control from the F rating on BBB and hundreds of pissed off clients, they're not expanding as much as they would like to boast.

I doubt anyone has seen the HR employees for "years" considering the whole department consisted of 2 teenage sisters and cousins of the owner. If Monster put half as much effort into being an ethical and honest business as they do in slandering people who have justifiably negative things to say about the company, they might just be successful. I don't foresee that happening anytime soon, since the owner is the slimiest human you could meet.

I'm pretty sure he gets off on screwing people over, consumers and employees alike. I give 100% validity to the original poster, considering "Monstar1" is the owner pretending to be a regular employee.Also there's no shortage of ex employees or pissed of clients who want to exact revenge on the company.

This person clearly is named "Ex Monstar". Monstars are what we call our employees.

So this means that they are an Ex employee of our company. This original post and this comment cannot be taken to heart, since this is obviously just a disgruntled employee who has nothing constructive to say about the company itself, and they are just dragging current employees in the dirt for their own sick pleasure. I do NOT own the company, and am not an executive. I am a regular employee who is sticking up for our HR employees.

If the original poster and "ExMonstar1" could get a life, and stop dragging good people in the dirt, that would be wonderful. You obviously have nothing constructive to do if this is how you spend your time.

As a current employee of Monster, I can tell you that this is, no doubt, a comment from past employee who is just trying to get back at the company since they do not get the pleasure of working at our awesome company anymore. We have such a great atmosphere here, and I recommend anyone to work here!

This is so not true. I've been around the employees in the HR department for years, and they are nothing but professional.

I know for a fact that all of our information is secure and safe, and I can be sure I will be greeted with smiles and helpful info whenever I enter into the HR office. Thanks for listening!

Worst Company to Deal With

My transmission went out on my Ford F350 Super Duty. Waited nearly 2 months to have it shipped to my mechanic and put in my truck.

Paid for the transmission and left the shop on March 6, 2018. Within a month, reverse started to go out and went completely out on May 4, 2018. I took it to a different shop with warranty on hand.

Monster Transmission said I have to pay to have the transmission removed, shipped to/from Monster Transmission, and also have to pay to have it put into my truck. I don't have the money to pay for all this, as I just spent so much money two months ago on this bad transmission.

The worst screwing i have ever had.

I bought a 650 hp 650 torque rated 700 R4. Upon installation found to be stuck in 1 st gear. I removed the governor and discovered the plastic geaf to be ground down to a nub. I rep!aced governer and was able to get all forward gears but never felt right. 800 miles later, the linkage came undone inside the pan. Had it towed to tranny shop. $200 for repair. 1000 miles later lost 3 rd and 4 th gear driving down the interstate. 3 issues in under 3000 miles. They wouldnt warranty there work since it had been over 90 days. They dont stand by their work. My local transmission shop is now rebuilding this unit for $2500. They showed me the work and parts monster used when they built it. Looked like garbage parts they found onthe floor. Clutches burnt up because they forgot to install the apply plate. Bands burnt up, bearing burnt up. As if it was built as a joke on me. My initial cost plus 2 tows, parts and labor now exceed $6000. They said all they would do is sell me another transmission for $1000. Are you kidding me! I only run a little small block. I feel lime a fool and my wife hates me..

I like how they say they install and inspect every transmission before it ships. This is a lie.

Explain to us how a transmission is stuck in first gear upon installation right out of the box? Is it possible this somehow got overlooked during your road test and inspection?

Monster transmission is a very disorganized company. They don't get things done in a very efficient manner. I waited 2 months for my transmission and it came in a very destroyed box. (The tranny was untouched though). If im going to spend 2K on something I would expect very good service in a timely manner. That is not what monster transmission is about. The man I spoke to on the phone was nice and helpful. After I called him about my transmission being in the parts department for a week I got two emails the next day about new departments that my transmission has gone through. UNTIL YOU CARE THEY DON'T. Their pricing is very good compared to other transmission shops near where I live. If you have time and know what you are doing, they are your company. If you don't know how to install a transmission and need it ASAP, turn away.

Paid for a 700r4 to go behind 454. Bought everything they said, was told I had 3 year warranty plus bought a extra 1 year. Hasn’t been 2 years yet now I’m told no warranty. The tec guy I talked to said it was a faulty part, sorry we don’t warranty that. What a joke. Should have done my own research and not believe what some of these auto shows say. What a mistake!!!!!

Not much help

I got a monster trans valve body in a transmission I got second hand. I contacted the tech department with the part number for the valve body in the transmission asking for the installation instructions for the valve body. I was told that since I didn't purchase the valve body from them myself they could not help me. I am now looking for a new valve body because I don't think the one I have was installed correctly. I definitely will not be buying anything from a company that can't even give support for there products.

Had to wait 10 weeks for my transmission wasnt in my f 150 for not even a year i bought the stage 2 supports 450 horsepower now my truck is sitting at the shoo transmiaaion is shot its gonna cost me around 2000 doloors to send it to have it taken out and then put back in they do not stand behind their work beat trans my balls they talk to u like crap they wont work with me at all on helping with any of it they are horrible i was better off haveing my stock one rebuilt didnt even last 9 month my f 150 doesnt have anywhere near 450 hp i got all sythetic trans fluid from them as well did all i couod on my end had a monstwr installwr put it in didnt even last 9 months and they wont do *** they suck and treat u like your nothing never agqin my brothwr has one his leaks not even 2 years old so if i liked it i could have a whole new transmission built for what im gonna pay to just get it out get it back in have to pay 385 to ship it 800 to take out and put in and 10 to 12 quarts of synthetic fluid bqck in it their is a new guy bt something feom what i hear hes tje best these people treated me like crap and dont stand behind their junk so how are they the best in my book their the worst ever i will be getting a lawyer and i will be calling better buessiness burue

The worst 7 months of wy life

Okay so first off they sent the transmission to the wrong address then when I finally get it swapped out with the other guys transmission that they sent it 2 the wrong address mine you then we go to have it installed one of the bolts is stripped out so I get charged extra money for that then we go to install it the torque converter is 3 mm to big took a act of Congress for them to figure this out when I told them specifically I have an early 99 Ford F250 is very specific so finally get that worked out get the transmission installed come to find out it's not even working right so now I have to go through their so-called wowenty and they're telling me I have to uninstall that one send it back then they'll rebuild it and send it back to me mind you this is going on for 4 months now and I said *** no so they make me pay $1,000 to get another one right away before this one shows up I call and say you have the right torque converter yes please make sure so this doesn't happen again get the new transmission get it on the lift get it partially installed torque converters wrong now we are seven months down the road and my truck is been sitting my poor baby so now they are trying to figure out which one it is again which they should have on record and I am stuck in limbo and damn near $2,000 wasted I want to take it back plant with as much C-4 as possible and drop it off on their doorstep

They sold me a transmission with defective speedo gears. I called their warranty department and left a message for Carl, this was my second attempt with their warranty department. A full week later I lost patience because nobody had called me back. I simply took my vehicle to a local technician who diagnosed and fixed the issue in 3 hours. I'm not losing sleep over a $122 bill that monster will not reimburse because i didn't "activate" the warranty. Folks, they simply don't stand behind their product. If one of their two warranty reps can't ever call you back, it means they're up to their necks in warranty issues. Put on a fast pair of tennis shoes and run the other direction.
