Hello my name is Abrahn, and I watch too much Volosity television channel? There are a great number of how to do it shows, that promote a number of products, but there in business to captivate viewers and promote and sale products!

Very rarely does the customer hear about the complaints and dissatisfied consumer?

I was on the *** purchasing a transmission from Monster transmission and, I came across some of the reviews, let me be the first to say that I do not wish to purchase and install a tranny then, not have a manufacturer stand side by side with me and behind their products, thanks for the heads up? Sorry you feel that way buddy, thanks for considering us in the first place. Being that you went on pissed consumer and you arent our consumer and have no business dealings with us, to be "pissed" then is comical.

We wouldnt be on over 10 tv shows, on 5 major channels, if we didnt stand behind our products. We wouldnt have a B rating with the BBB if that was the case. We wouldnt have sent out over 2600 transmissions last year and we are on pace to top those numbers this year. Why, because the small number of people that use these sites and social media to complain, arent the thousands upon thousands of satisfied clients we have had over the last 12 years.

We road test our units, which no one else does, we build on live cameras, we inspect any warranties on a recorded camera and many other things to ensure our clients get a fully functioning unit. We get just as frustrated when we paid someone to tear down the core, clean the case, paint the case, build the unit, test the unit, package the unit, pull the parts for the unit, give free shipping, then it gets installed and doesnt work. Then people want a refund or everything for free.

Then when we get the units back, they are either perfect inside or they were installed incorrectly. We do everything we can to make our clients happy and stand by them, thats why we have over 900 videos on youtube...thats the real review!!!

Monster you continue to produce ***.

You rebuilt my transmission incorrectly not once but THREE times and each time you blamed me for the failures when in fact it was your incompetence. Your employees failed to locate the actual cause of every failure.

I ended up taking to a real transmission shop and they discovered the part that caused the failures and they replaced it and guess what? it has worked ever since! The best I got from Monster was 800 miles before my transmission failed. Hand shake warranty, Bull _ _ _ _.

Do Not use Monster Transmission At All. Go to your local transmission shop.

You will be better off.

Well I we got some things straightened out I called to tell them about what I had found out monster appologised and asked me to send it back at there cost of shipping paid for. I did so and upon getting the product back it now shifts better then ever possible..

the shifts just about threw me into my back seat..

lol I'm extremely impressed with this transmission.. 5 out of 5 stars I will be using them again in the future

I bought a new 700 r4 stage 2 transmission from monster it lasted four months perfectly when out of nowhere it quit pulling in all gears.. i sent it back after paying a discounted 200 dollar shipment fee just got the transmission back 2 days ago.. finially found the time to install the transmission I backed out of my driveway after installing I drove it down the road to test all ford gears Wich worked fine.. i pull up to back into my driveway after a 10 min test drive and absolutely no reverse.. i have went over everything and came to the conclusion it is enternal.. they have ok customer service the warranty rep amiee was great and Javier was ok by me also the transmission worked awsome for ten min.. i still can go ford and shifts perfect.. just no reverse I'm sad to say I will be calling Monday morning for them to come get there transmission for my refund to take my business elsewhere unless they come to a agreement to fix this with no cost to me.. I'm a average man going check to check I'm over 3000 into this transmission not to mention all the man hours of dealing with these issues I can only hope I will get on here and post positive things about monster and they will stand behind there product will keep posted nick knight from east tx 700 r4 4x4

My cousin bought one and it quit pullin all gears and is leaken trans fluid the the yoke of drive shaft and it will only take park want do anything else need the num to call to. Send it back to get fixed rite this time it has a 3 year warnte

I called this morning with a problem I had with shifting in my 4L60E transmission that I bought from you guys about a year ago and they very successfully resolved the issue and they sent me the necessary part that I need to correct that along with the instructions to install it, etc. So that worked out all very well. Other than that one little problem, everything else with the installation in my 80 El Camino has been going very well and I thank you for the good service.

Ok Sir, let's tell both sides of the story. Our 30 day money back guarantee clearly states that "If we're unable to exchange or repair an item" then send it back for a refund.

Well when we spoke on the phone, the symptoms you gave me lead to a mis-aligned torque converter. Without you returning the product, there is NO way to determine the failure. We offered to pick up the unit at no charge and repair it at no charge. You decline and said your friend would repair it for free.

I even called a friend of mine who owns a shop and they were standing by to assist you. We also gave you a reimbursement which was bending the rules, because you told us that the local guy would fix it for free. We are both in Florida and could have resolved this easily. You chose to continue to let your friends fix the issue for you.

You bought the product with a warranty, but wont allow us to warranty it. You have also made it a personal mission to go on several sites and try to do damage to our company by swaying potential clients away from doing business with us. No one is perfect and somewhere something happened. When your shop stated in the background that he wasnt doing anything to help us help you, I knew this was going south fast.

Instead of making you follow the warranty rules, we did our best to help you over the phone.

We are still here to assist you. If you want real help, listen to the voicemail I left you and call back!

Aimee follows the warranty guidelines as set by our terms and conditions, which are on the warranty you signed. No one is blaming you, we are only asking you to follow the warranty you signed.

We inspected the unit on a video camera, no hiding anything there, and found that the pump was broke.

Had the pump been faulty or defective, the unit would not have passed our bench, static and road test. Go on our site and log in live to our webcams!!

This is an update since I've written my first review as monster transmission has contacted my house and tried to work with me.

Alot of calls have been made to warranty and no answers, return calls were attempted back to us about a day or two later.

Warranty I guess has alot of problems with their transmissions and is never able to answer there phones right away is my guess. Took out the front transmission torque converter seal and then took pictures of the seal behind that one and sent the pictures to monster transmission. Their tech I guess looked at the pictures and said the seal was good so my transmission leak is basically magically coming from nowhere I suppose.

After they claimed they would send another seal out for replacement I waited and waited, then after two weeks of patiently waiting gave them a call and then they shipped it out.

However when the parts finally came they had sent the wrong ones. I had a pretty good laugh about and didn't really get mad because after all the problems I already had to deal with within their company and their 700r4 transmission, I knew not to expect very much much them.

After that I wrote them another letter kindly explaining that they had sent the wrong parts and asked if they could send me out the right ones. They agreed and sure enough another week passes and had to write another letter not so nice this time.

That same day they shipped out the parts and I'm still waiting for them to be delivered so we shall see.

Please understand that I have a 1991 Silverado the engine on this thing has over 100k miles on it. A brand new transmission from their company should be the very least of my worries at this point, but sadly it's just been problem after problem with this company. I cannot recommend these people and their products to anyone in good conscious.

Their only reply to all my problems is sorry.

I don't believe they have any intentions of looking into the poor customer service they display, or figuring out better ways to make their products more acceptable. It seems it will always continue to be the same song and dance.

I bought my transmission and was excited when it arrived. My dad recommended it because it had a handshake warranty. However not even 1,000 miles into it, probably half that, 500 miles into it, the torque converter busted. Monster was more than happy to fix it. If I paid $250 shipping. (baited) they claim warranty. However you MUST PAY ALOT OF MONEY to have it shipped. That's just how it is. Got it back the SECOND TIME. Now not even 100 miles later transmission fluid is literally POURING out of it. Please people im on my knees begging YOU, don't buy from them, I promise a headache. HONESTLY i thought the people with alot of problems were just having bad luck or they were doing something wrong. Me and my dad put this transmission in twice and it was done completely the right way. I couldn't believe it when i looked under my truck in the snow, cold as heck, and it was pouring out transmission fluid. Tightened the transmission pan bolts, nothing, still pouring out. I am so angry right now. Words cannot describe how I feel. That's why I'm telling you to stay away. I went into this with a clear head and had given them a fair shot at proving their company. I wish I could go back in time and buy a used tranny from the junkyard because that's where this one now belongs. Please I have a headache as I'm writing this. Save yourself my pain and just get something cheaper. I promise your money isn't well spent here. I will NEVER do business with this company ever again. If you don't believe me........go ahead........buy one, I can't wait to laugh in your face when it messes up. That's how bad these things are. Maybe at one time monster transmission might have made something of quality. Not anymore. YOU WERE WARNED!

We are extremely sorry that the client is having an issue again.. We have warrantied the unit for free after he had it for about 9 months.

The money that the client paid went to the shipping company to cover the round-trip shipping. Monster doesn't own any freight trucks, so that money wasn't for us. Same as buying something from a store. If it needs to be replaced, you would have to drive back to the store to get it replaced.

We are willing to warranty the unit again, he has a signed warranty on file with us. We look forward to working with the client to get him back on the road. We are willing to take his phone calls and emails. We could have just ignored this post, but as you can see on this and every post, we do our best to reach out to the clients and resolve their issues.

We can not make everyone happy all of the time, but we do our best to take care of our clients. Please contact us, as we have been calling you for the last few days.

Junk junk junk plus bad service equals :-(

We ordered a Trans, they built it wrong with incorrect adapter and it leaked everywhere. Horrible customer service that takes zero responsibility for their work.

They also state EVERY trans they build gets tested in a vehicle before it leaves them, BIG lie. There where no signs of installation or running. I got my attorney involved after being shut down by customer DIS-SERVICE.

Our recommendation is to pay your local shop to build you what you need, have that shop install it and make sure they have a warranty and are in good standing with the better business bureau. Never, ever buy from monster trans.

We have around 60 bad reviews on a website dedicated to upset people. That same site does not allow clients to remove their postings when they are satisfied.

We respond to every post we come across, instead of ignoring them. We have B rating with the BBB. Our real reviews are all over YOUTUBE, hundreds and hundreds of them. These are videos of clients, not something we make up.

We have been in business for over 12 years. Last year alone we shipped out over 2600 transmissions, the year before over 1900. This does not count the over 5,000 clients we have each year that buy parts, converters and transfer cases. If you average the numbers out, that is about one client every other month.

While one client being upset is not ok, those numbers are extremely low. You must take in to account people being out of warranty, unrealistic or just not wanting to follow the warranty they signed and agreed to. We offer a free replacement on a first time basis for our clients, we allow them to use our discounted rates for shipping and we even inspect the damaged units on a live webcam. When it comes to cheap parts, etc.

Once a unit fails, no matter what caused it, the parts are now used and broken, of course they look bad. To make a shift kit, you drill holes in the valve body plate, no tricky business there. Besides our road testing and live warranty inspect cam, we also are the first and only transmission shop to have live webcams in every department. There is a live webcam in the parts department so you can see for yourself, what parts are being pulled.

Then there is a camera in the build department, so you can see live the guys putting those same parts in. Then we have a camera in the testing department, so you can see the transmissions working in an actual vehicle before we ship them out. No funny or monkey business when you can see what is going on. NO ONE, I repeat, NO ONE has live webcams in all of their departments, they are too scared.

To address an earlier point...if you have ever done research on the major chains, which we don't say names at Monster Transmission, you will see the horror stories of them bringing old parts out, from a previous failure, and saying they are the clients. Why? To make a sale!

If you didn't spend money with them in the first place, they are still going to try to get your business. They are going to try to sell you on their supposed service and expertise.

In response to this post we posted on April 1st, Monster Transmission and Josh have repaired what was a difficult situation. I am extremely satisfied to know that Monster does cares about its "clients", although the process did require more time than I thought they do come through in the end.

With that in mind, to all those that are dissatisfied you have to remember that Monster Transmission is a very large reputable company and sells quality products. In our society today everyone wants things instantly, but with a little time, energy, and patience any situation can come to a resolution. In this case, we are finally satisfied with the level of service we received (not throughout the whole process), but to close what was a bad situation from the start. Our product is now running wonderfully and we have better faith in the company that made it for us.

We will continue to purchase from Monster, and encourage others to purchase the extra white glove warranty protection....it is worth it when executed more smoothly from day one.

Junk tranny.

After searching the web, I ordered a T400 for my Chevelle. I gave them every detail about the car it was going into.

I also ordered a 2500 stall converter to insure that I had no issues. Issues to date: Converter stalls at 3000, They shipped a replacement that also stalls at 3000. Transmission leaks out of every available orifice. Shipped without speedo gears.

When I pulled the housing to install the speedo gears, discovered an output shaft that has a new end welded to it and a worn out driveshaft yoke bushing. Customer service talks the talk, but never follows through. I'm pulling an 8 month old tranny and replacing it with something else. $1,500 out the window.

Do your homework. Stay away.

Restocking Fee charged before the Transmission even shipped?

My son ordered a transmission on line on a Saturday morning from Monster, the order had to be cancelled on Monday morning AM due to other problems with the truck. When we called to cancel they where going to charge a 25% restocking fee but because we live in Florida we would only be charged 10%.

They had not even had time to process the order and he was still charged a $199.00 restocking fee because it was cancelled I am not sure what kind of customer service this is when you can charge a restocking fee when you never took it out of stock to begin with. Just be careful dealing with this company I wished my son had read all of these reviews before ordering just do your homework.

Not sure where the confusion was, but Ill explain. When your sod ordered the transmission, he was told there is a 10% cancel fee.

He agreed to it, Ill post the copy of the invoice. We do have a 25% re-stock fee if an item is returned un-used. Obviously wording or whatever happened got mixed up. What is also interesting is that you said the truck had problems, he told his rep that he was canceling due to family problems.

The order was placed on a Friday, we are not open on the weekends.Had you called up and said you or he didnt agree with it, we could have helped you. Going on here and trying to dis-credit us with untrue information will not help you.

We charge a cancel fee due to the credit card fees we lose, the payroll to have someone speak to you on the phone for the sale and the cancel, the paper to print the order, the electricity, etc that are costs of doing business. No of this is free, our staff are great but dont work for fee.

Again, all you had to was call back up and we would have worked with you. If you want help, have your son call us!

I order a 200r4 from monster transmission said to handle up to 400hp higher than what my engine is putting out. Installed it about over a year later which pretty much is out of warranty.2 months of use on it tranny begins to slip, revs high skipping gears. Took it to a performance tranny shop and they tell me that the tranny has been built making jimmy rigged shift kits and drilling the heck out of valve bodies. In addition to tranny failing due to their tranny setups the stall converter they gave me which was suppose to be a 2500 is much higher which burnt out my tranny. Pretty much theyre trannys are garbage. Save your money and DONT buy Monster transmissions. Thanks a lot Monster transmissions you really screwed me over

We shipped out over 2600 transmissions last year and we have the lowest warranty rate in the industry. You posted conflicting things above. First you said the unit failed due to our build. Then you blamed the converter.

To make a transmission shift hard or soft you do two things. You change the spring and piston combo in the accumulator assembly. You also drill holes in the valve body separator plate to determine how much fluid travels through the holes. The bigger the hole, the more fluid equaling more pressure and a harder shift.

These units are custom built and the client requested a level two shift.Not sure what happened to your unit with out getting it back here to inspect it. We do offer an inspection live on a webcam and free replacement if you are with in the warranty period. Even if you are outside the warranty, we will help you as we ALWAYS do for our clients. That does not mean we will replace it for free, but we will work with you to help get you back on the road.

Leaking 700r4 speed sensor

Josh from MT called me to address my problem with a leaking 700r4 tranny. Josh agreed that my tranny was mistakenly sent with a sensor that is used for road testing only. Although it took too many calls and am online complaint to obtain resolution I can say that tonight it has been resolved amicably. I am thankful that Josh is making good on providing me a new sensor with retainer which resolves my issue and provides the service that MT should be known for. Hope to have the UPS pkg in day or so and get it installed. Thanks Josh

Hi my name is larry johnston in mo it took them 10days to figure out what parts i needed for my 2005 dodge 4x4 my truck was at sema in 2005and 2006 its custom from front to back,top to bottom i have a 545rfe and im producing around 500hp i ordered amonster in a box kit so i could build it myself and i specifically ask for a rebuild manual with my kit i've rebuilt plenty of 727@***4's but not a fully electronic 545rfe so i have the parts and truck is apart i spent 1105.00 on just parts not to mention 350.00 on fluids or the 300.00 on the proper millertools to do the rebuild but have no manual to do it im a single father of two little boys and im diabled so for me to get any help with my truck or my boys its weekends only now my trucks apart only car i got besides is a 9second duster which of course only has 2seats so where does the baby go so now im stranded hopefully no emergancy happens untill i can get my hands on a book when you specifically ask for a manual and you dont get it it makes me wonder are all the parts there? I guess i will find out when i can get the book, i still had 1st@***d gear so am i upset *** yes my nephew tim took 3 personal days off work to help do all the heavy stuff i cant do anymore so basically almost 2000.00 invested and nephew missed 3days unpaid to help meand no book and it will be another week before i can get my hands on book. "WTF" i hope the quality of parts are good , guess i will find out next week or two when ever i can get someone to help and the dam book

We are truly sorry this happened to our client, it has been resolved. He placed and order on the 23rd of January.

We sent the order to the parts department on the same day. This kit wasnt on the site so we had to order the parts in. We failed to notify the client it was taking a few days to receive the items and it would delay them. When he spoke to the dedicated account rep on the phone there was a mis-understanding.

We don't and havent sold any rebuild manuals her at Monster Transmission. We do offer ATS manuals, but they are tech books and not rebuild guides. The rep mentioned that we had instructions for the shift kit. Somewhere in all of that thins got mixed up.

When we were made aware of our mistake, the same rep sent over a 100 page PDF file we found to help the client out. Is is satisfied now and has told us that this site wont allow him to say his issue is fixed. Keep in mind when you read these things, there are two sides to every story and this site is known for not allowing folks to reply they are happy. They are so bad that they now make you click that you agree to terms and conditions, if they aren't selling anything on here, why are they covering their rears so much?

You can also post as anonymous, which tells you the site is designed for people who hide. We made a mistake with this client by not being clear on when the parts would come in or what type of manual he was getting.

We have corrected this and the client is looking forward to his parts being assembled in a trans. Thank you Larry for your business and patience with us!!!

Leaking Transmission

New 700r4 installed in hot rod, speed sensor leaking because it didn't have retainer or bolt provided. MT says we don't send sensor unless you buy it. Funny how my new tranny arrived with it installed and I was not telling the truth? Called MT three additional times just asking them to provide the retainer forvthecsensor they never ship with their trannys, customer service gave me nothing but BS for a $5 part on a $1500 tranny. They were more than happy however to sell me a new sensor. So much for their "handshake warranty" and "no blame game" when resolving customer issues. Guess when you have 63 consumer complaints on this website alone there must be something to them. I will find another company to buy a TH400 and another 700R4 for my hot rod projects.

Preferred solution: All I want is either the retainer and bolt for the sensor they sent me or even another sensor working or not with the retainer.

Purchased a 2004R at Monster's recommendation for my application. Failed twice now!!!

I thought I was doing ample research to locate a reputable transmission vendor who provided a solid warranty to back their product and reputation. So I called MT to order a transmission for my 80 Trans Am.

Pushing 400HP I inquired about a 700R4. The salesperson explained that if I were to go w/ the 2004R it would save me time and money as this model would fit less modifications and I wouldn't have to cut my driveshaft to fit. After a lengthly conversation to ask if they were sure this was the proper trans. for my application I ordered.

$2400 for the total conversion kit, hardware, etc. I installed in July 2012. Drove the unit 50 miles and the front pump bushing and seal pushed out dumping all the fluid. I had to hitch a ride home to get my truck and car trailer to recover my T/A.

Spoke to Monster, they stated I had to pay shipping to them but they would pay it back tome. Pulled, paid, shipped, repaired, shipped back within about 3 weeks. I reinstalled and the trans. Followed the TV cable set up per the video.

Fast forward from Aug 2012 to Sept 2014. Car has been driven 601 miles within this time and transmission went in town couple weeks ago. Called MT back and they said I'd have to pay round trip shipping and pay a $499 bench fee. I expressed that I didn't think this was fair and didn't agree w/ this.

Warranty mgr Amy said she would talk w/ leadership and see what they could do. Never called me back. I called and left VM's… again no call back. Lots of excuses from Amy on why she couldn't call me, etc.

I finally got them to agree that I pay shipping to them but I would NOT authorize $$ for a teardown. I told them to figure out what is wrong w/ trans and we go from there. In reading other complaints I am confident they will try to blame failure on me. I have already explained I am a ASE Cert.

tech and pulled wrenches for a living over 30 years. I will post the outcome of this when I have more info. Bottom line. DO NOT BUY FROM MONSTER TRANSMISSION!!!!

They are a poor excuse of a company and don't care about "building relationships" like their automated phone system states!

Preferred solution: I would like to return the 200R4 transmission for a full refund of the unit (minus the fluid and consumables) and exchange for a 700R4. I will pay the difference as long as I'm dealt with fairly.

I have dealt with the warranty department several times over the past week. They have been so professional and so patient.

I appreciate their patience with me. They have been extremely helpful in everything we've had to work with. I think they are very very helpful people.

I would certainly call and order from Monster again in the future should I have future transmission needs. Thank you for being so professional.

Repeated repairs, & trips to shop , no consideration for customer.

I fell pray to Monster's advertising, and very pleasant personnel. So I contracted Monster to do an upgrade the transmission of my 85 El Camino, to a 700 R4. After 44 days, 3 return trips, 234 miles, 6 hours of cleaning over spray paint from my car, they are offering us $250.00 adjustment, but in effect taking away our warranty. Their work quality is evident of being poor, work order not followed, bolts stripped out, oil leaks, wrong shift level, no lockup, damaged, trans mount, dust cover grinding on flywheel We have pages of documents, with dates, names, commitments, work orders, & much more. Before going there, talk to their customers ,who are providing reviews! BUYER BE WARE!, you have been warned.

I agree if your looking to save money pull your transmission down and take it to a local transmission shop that knows what there doing. I purchased a monster transmission for $1800 waited 3 weeks for it and 3rd gear went out finding out that line pressure was low caused by seal in installed improperly and made 3rd gear clutches slip.

I ended up sending my transmission somewhere else locally he asked me what i do with my truck he then put in heavy duty parts repaired what monster did to the valve body had it done in the same day and costed me $700 my truck still runs today.

Guys please please please go local and stay away from MT your going to loose time and money with them. Read there terms and conditions that should send up a red flag.

I purchased a transmission from Monster Transmission. After debates and research on the internet, I realized that they were the best transmission place that I could find.

The tech support was very good and the sales people were excellent.

My problem was taken care of immediately. I am very pleased with Monster Transmission.
