I listened to the hype from Josh at monster transmissions. it sounded good .

3 yr unlimited miles warranty. I ordered a rebuilt heavy duty 4l60e trans for my 94 chevy astro van. I had it installed and followed the reccommendation to install a external trans oil cooler. the trans shifted very hard from the beginning and only worked for about 5000 miles.

NOOOO problem right? i paid the 250 shipping and in about a week got the trans back, paid "AGAIN" to have it installed and it worked fine for about 5000 miles and started blowing fluid out the front of the trans faster than I could keep it filled. NOOOO problem right?? wrong.

very wrong. Now I was told I gotta pay the shipping pluss 500 bucks for the repair plus another remove and install by my mechanic adding up to over a thousand bucks. monster transmissions does not tell you any of this when you are ordering a trans from them though it is in the fine print of the warranty provided after you get your trans the "first" time. I said screw monster transmissions.

It has cost me over 3000 dollars for about 10,000 miles of use from a monster transmissions transmission. Should have called a cab and save a few bucks. I am going with a local trans shop from now on. I reccommend no one do business with monster transmission ever.

I will be complaining to the florida BBB and the Floridas Attorney general and Floridas Office of consumer protection office regarding what I believe to be fradulent misleading and deceptive business practices.

I also intend to send letters to the editor of as many newspapers as I can find the address of for this purpose. A "FORMER" customer of monster transmissions from Lagrange Georgia.

I am a very satisfied customer. I bought my transmission about a year and a half ago now.

I have had it in my vehicle for about 6 months or so. I had a little bit of an issue with a broken case. I called Monster to let them know what happened and everyone was very polite and they jumped right on it. I got mine shipped out to them and they shipped me a brand new transmission.

All they stuff I shipped to them, they shipped right back to me. I am very satisfied and I am calling again to order a new transmission (Turbo heavy duty 4WD with a brand new torque convertor). This is the reason why I'm going with Monster again. I have had absolutely not one problem with the new transmission they sent me.

It shifts awesome, runs awesome, and I have had not one complaint on it.

That's why I'm going with Monster again. Thank you to everyone at Monster Transmission!

RICH, you made the right move. do a little research and find a local trans shop .I should have done this myself but i got caught up in the hype of monster transmissions thinking they had it really going on. good luck.

as they say in court house, , "from the clash of lies comes truth" why would i be spending time dissing monster transmissions if they were on the up and up? i would not be doing so. I diss this company to let others know not to get screwed like I did. go with a local trans shop wherever you are .

as joe friday would say, just the facts , i spent 3k for about 10k miles out of a monster transmissions trans. their work sucks, their procedures for returns on warranty work are scandalous .

they should be prosecuted for theft by deception and as I proceed , I hope to make this happen. wayne in lagrange ga

why can`t i take my complaint back off of this site? What if your complaint is rectified to your satisfaction from a company and you change your mind, how do i sign out of your site?

i can`t believe web site won`t let you sign out, or quit. Now you are the one`s *** off the consumer what is your malfunction? I want to take my complaint back just because you won`t allow me to, you are being the bad consumer! please tell me how to remove my complaint please it is very frustrating trying find one hundred words to ask why can`t i sign out?

Mikeparise You were reading a complaint about Pissed Consumer. Filing a new complaint about Yes, I now see that it's in the fine print, but PissedConsumer needs to allow us to remove complaints. It's only ethical. What if we make a mistake in our complaint and only learn of the mistake after the company responds?

What if we change our minds? What if the company changes its ways? What about purely malicious complaints with no merit? This is bad.

It shows PissedConsumer's negative bias. A fair company would enable the option to revise the complaint or review. I've seen other complaints about this. Is PissedConsumer.com willing to step up to the plate?

There is no ability to do this at all on this web site:. So, something needs to be done to improve on this, and the customer service too'. The phone number provided is just a voice mail, and no gets back with you;. Also, this includes the email capability too..

No one replies to the emails too?.

If you are reading this then you already know you are on a website whose sole purpose is to allow people to rant and rave, while not being able to remove their posting once they are satisfied. If you are open minded and care to hear both sides of this story, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Just below this box it states "Personal attacks will be deleted", this has yet to happen when clients have personally attacked our employees. Mr. Wayne was asked to post both sides of the story, he has not so we will. On 4/1/2011 Mr.

Wayne started a layaway with us, which means he put down a deposit to lock in his price until he could or wanted to pay the balance. He paid it off and we custom built the unit for him. Then we installed it in a vehicle, ensuring that the unit was fully functioning, on the road before we shipped it out to him. On 7/10/2013 he called in with an issue.

We called him back, after not hearing back, on 7/16/2013 and he said he wasn't ready to ship the unit back in. He called in on 7/22/2013 and paid $250 round trip shipping, which goes to the shipping company as Monster does't own an 18 wheeler. We built him another re-manufactured unit, installed it in a test vehicle and sent it out to him. All this was done without a signed warranty, which we received on 7/23/2013, even when his receipt stated we need it back within 30 days..that would have been 5/21/2011..two years earlier.

We don't mind, we still sent him a free replacement! On 2/10/2014 Mr. Wayne called in with another issue, we informed him that he was on step 2 of his warranty. He told the rep that he was unhappy, said he will have his neighbor do it and call the BBB, State Attorney and post negative reviews because we are being unfair.

The client was called back by the Director of Client Relations, he left a voice mail. Mr. Wayne called back in on the 17th. The D.C.R asked him why he made those statements, we are trying to help him.

He said that he has to pay over $1000 and we aren't trying to help. The D.C.R told him we would waive the shipping cost, inspect it on a live webcam, we built you a free replacement last time, we are answering your calls, calling you back and trying to help. He said no you aren't and I want a refund. He was told per the receipt he sent in and his warranty, a refund is issued within 30 days of purchase on a returned and unused item.

He told the D.C.R that he was going to go on facebook, craigslist and blast us. He was again told the different ways we are trying to help, apologized to several times and asked to post both sides of the story if he does post. He hung up on the Director of Client Relations at that point. We go above and beyond to help our clients, in or out of warranty.
